A.) Our Standard panel is a 26 gauge PBR panel with a full “leg overlap” for water tightness. This panel is       available in 24 and 22 gauge material. We also provide several other panel profiles for you to choose from. Q.) Are large deposits required when ordering Permit/Approval drawings? A.) We never require more than a 10% deposit to get your projects engineering completed. We have Engineer’s       stamps for all 50 states. Q.) Will my building meet the local Building Department’s building codes? A.) American Steel Buildings provides engineer stamped, certified drawings that comply with the building codes       in all 50 states and many countries in the world. Q.) Are your buildings difficult to erect? A.) Our buildings are erector friendly bolt together, all-steel frame construction and are precision manufactured for       easy construction. Our steel members are stamped with “piece-marks” that match your construction drawings       and bill of materials. Q.) Do you have anyone that can help erect the building? A.) Our Builder/Dealer network is one of the most extensive groups of qualified, independent contractors in the       World. American Steel can provide a list of contractors for you to choose from that can assist with erecting the       building or providing complete general contracting services. Q.) Can you provide Metric Drawings? A.) Yes, this is a standard requirement for most International jobs. Q.) Are there Installation Manuals for your buildings? A.) Our buildings include installation manuals in English and Spanish. Q.) Do you provide stainless steel fasteners and do they include neoprene washers. A.) The fasteners we provide are either ZAC or Stainless and all fasteners come with neoprene washers. Q.) Are your buildings and accessories single source? A.) Yes, we single source all of our materials unlike others that may have many parts from different sources. Q.) What is hot-dipped galvanizing? A.) The hot-dipped procedure is for the primary frames and columns of buildings used for ocean or salt applications.       The steel is taken to a separate facility and completely submerged in our galvanizing tanks. Q.) Do you have “distressed sales buildings” or cancelled buildings sitting on the warehouse floor? A.) Very seldom. This would only happen if someone put a deposit down and then later cancelled the project.       The building would have specific wind and snow load designs and would be restricted as to where it was       sold. It would not be sitting in our warehouse. Q.) Do factories employ “high pressure” sales people? A.) No, high pressure sales people work for independent sales organizations.
